Someone said “The world is a stage……….” Well you certainly see people enacting their parts impeccably. My life and people around it is one such stage.

Act 1 Scene 1
Sunday, Living room,
My residence

The Father: Where is my newspaper?
The Mother: We don’t have bread and eggs. I also need fruits for the kids.
The Father: Where is my breakfast?
Me: Why r u guys screaming in the morning?
The Mother: its 9, its not morning. (Looking at the Father) When are you going to bring the bread?
The Father: Where is my newspaper?
Me: Why is everyone screaming and shouting in this house?
The Mother: Don’t tell me anything, ask your dad. He is the one creating problems.
Me: Fine. I am going back to my room.
The Mother: No. Wait. Fill up those water bottles. Don’t wake your brother. He has been watching TV late yesterday.
Me: Hmf. Fine….
The Mother: What do you want for breakfast? You dad did not bring the bread and eggs.
Me: Fine. I’ll have muri.
The Mother: What Muri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This dieting will kill you one day. Ok have muri, but need to have sondesh and fruits with that.
Me: I am not going to eat anything. If you have a problem, I am going out.
The Mother: Why would I have a problem? I never have problems. It’s you guys who create problems. I don’t even get rest on a Sunday. You people ………………………
The Brother: (whispering to me) Didi!!!!! What is happening?
Me: These guys are screaming and shouting from early morning. I am not going to stay here any more
The Brother: Ha ha ha!!!!!! Leave it. (Looking for the tooth paste) You know I saw a fantastic movie last night. Roman Polanski’s Bitter Moon. The story was really great.
Me: I know. I have seen the movie long back. It’s the story where a crippled writer narrates the story to another man in a ship, right?
The Brother: Yeah quite a nice story.

Act 1 Scene 2
Sunday, My Room,
My residence

I wake up with a start. It’s dark outside. What time is it??? I search for my cell phone. The wretched thing was stuck between Oscar Wilde and Paulo Coelho. What is it Monday already!!!

The cell phone flashes 5.25 P.M. Oh! Thank God, it’s still Sunday. The Brother is sleeping happily in the adjacent bed. But hey wait a minute… why do I hear multiple voices in the living room. I hope none of my ghastly relatives have turned up. Hmmm...Should I make them aware of my presence? Let’s wait for a few more minutes.
It’s 5. 56 P.M and I storm out of my room. My vision is hazy due to over-sleeping and here comes my Dad talking to this guy. His head is egg-shaped (not my dad’s, the guy’s).

The Father: Meet Mr. …, he works with me.
Me: (extremely groggy) h….ooo (well I meant Hello)

I wash my face and take out a bottle of water. So here I am staring in to the sky with a bottle of water in my hand…
